A new beginning – The Farm Gate

I have finally taken the step of starting a new blog. I did attempt a blog on organic farming on my Broadleaze Farm site but I think it got a bit lost in the rest of the site.

In this blog I want to focus on organic farming and gardening, sustainable and ethical food and living lightly and simply.

I have another blog, Muthimuthi in which I will be writing on environmental issues. This will be more philosophical and activist in tone.

In the Farm Gate I hope to be positive in my writings. As an environmental activist one tends to have to deal with a great deal of negativity. It always seems that the fight is never ending. However one of the bonuses of being an organic farmer is that there is always birth and renewal and therefore always hope. There is much that one can do that is positive and constructive. After all as a farmer, one’s job is to grow and to nurture.
