The gentlest of spirits.

A short piece from Nora

Yesterday on a walk up the driveway a very large animal nearby went crashing through the forest. I didn’t get a good view but I knew it was a large buck. This morning when I drove up the driveway, I saw an animal in the distance that was trying to get through the fence into the forest. I turned off the engine and watched it. it had the gait of a foal shortly after birth, all out of proportion. It came all the way down the driveway and stood next to the car. Big dark eyes, large upright ears, stripes on its side, the gentlest of spirits. I came face to face with a baby kudu, who ever would have thought one could have an experience like that on the edge of PMB! A strong silent motivating force that keeps me writing objections and appeals….! Nora
